AD ASTRA – VOYAGE BEYOND SOUND

For the Prince Claus Concert at SPOT/De Oosterpoort, I was asked to create subtle, immersive visuals for a student orchestra. It was very incredible experience to sit on the stage, free-styling visuals and hope the timing will be perfect. I have learned a lot thanks to this opportunity.
An other part of the event featured a performance ‘Asteroid on Steroids’ by the amazing PCC drummer Matti Kutzner. For his set, we brought back the data center made by Nathan Norg for Tangled Out, but completely repurposed it. This time, the entire setup was mapped to react dynamically to Matti’s drumming, creating a raw, chaotic dialogue.
As for an after program there was an amazing installation – a compilation of old music players for cassettes, vinyls or CDs – ‘Voyage Sampler‘ made by Daan Jonker and Nathan Norg.
